Artists Along the Bitterroot Studio Tour, June 5-7

National Senior Pro Rodeo, June 23-24

The National Senior Pro Rodeo Tour comes to Montana in late June every year. The rodeo swing include Augusta, Darby and Hamilton. Contestants from the United States and Canada travel to Montana to compete in all standard rodeo events. Their goal is to earn points for qualification to the Senior Pro Rodeo Finals held in Las Vegas each October.

Senior Pro Rodeo is for cowboys and cowgirls over 40 who still enjoy living the rodeo lifestyle, training horses and competing. Everybody has a great time when Senior Pro Rodeo comes to town.

About Darby, MT

Log buildings still stand as a reminder of the gold dust days. Darby's Pioneer Memorial Museum was originally one of the first hand-hewn homestead cabins built in the area.

Warm, friendly people will greet you at the unique shops, grocery store, post office, library, restaurants, saloons and lodging establishments. Highlights of this prime recreation area include Alta Ranger Station, Darby Pioneer Memorial Museum, Lake Como Recreation Area, Lost Trail Ski Area and Painted Rocks Lake.

With a poplulation in 2007 of 853 people, the town is a quiet one with spectacular scenery and fabulous fishing opportunities. Visitors will enjoy the National Museum of Forest Service History located here.

To pay tribute to its founding fathers, Darby hosts Logger Days each summer. Darby is a rural small town that is horse-friendly. The lifestyle is laid back. The pace is slow. There are so many activities to participate in and enjoy, because Darby is the gateway to nature's playground.

The affordable nightly rates are based on number of occupants per room, and in May, June and July the cost ranges between $62 - $92. Rates are seasonal. With stays of seven nights or more, the rates are even lower.

1 person = $66 + 7% tax ($4.62) + $1 TBID fee = $71.62
2 people = $70 + 7% tax ($4.90) + $1 TBID fee = $75.90

4 people = $78 + 7% tax ($5.46) + $1 TBID fee = $84.46

Montana has a 7% tax on lodging, and Ravalli County has a Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) fee of $1.00.

Check-In, Check-Out

Mountain Spirit Inn - Darby, Montana Your dog is welcome if you accept our policy. Pets must be registered at the front-desk. Pets are an additional $10 each per day. There is a two (2) pet max. Pets must not be left unattended in the room. Crates are encouraged. It is the owner's responsibility to clean up after their pets. Please do not allow your pet to jump on the furniture. Cats and other types of animals are not allowed.

Senior Discount

A senior citizen discount is available of $4 off per room night to those patrons 60 years or older.

Reservation Cancellation Policy

The cancellation policy is if the travelers plans should change, they must call by 12:00 noon two days prior to their arrival to make any changes/cancellations.

Group Reservations

If a person (coordinator) reserves multiple rooms for a group event, then the individuals using each room, must call and reserve one of the rooms under the coordinator's name. A week out (7 days), the un-reserved rooms will be released for general sale.

A second option is that the coordinator may pay for the first night of each room as an un-refundable deposit.

Business Services

Available in the office/lobby are the following business services: copying, faxing, printing and scanning. The prices are reasonable.

Grills, Picnic Tables, Group Campfire Ring & Playground

For your enjoyment are BBQ grills, picnic tables and a playground in a beautiful, private, outdoor area available just for guests. There is also a group campfire ring.

Internet

We have free WiFi! If WiFi is important to you, please let us know, so that you can reserve a room in the North Building (Rooms #1-7).

Hair Dryer, Iron & Ironing Board

Available upon request are a hair dryer, iron and ironing board.

Smoke-free

100% non-smoking rooms are offered. Anyone who smokes in a room will be assessed a $150 deep cleaning fee.

Telephones

There are no telephones in the guest rooms. However, there is a complimentary telephone in the lobby for guests to use to call anywhere in the world.

TV

All the guest rooms have TVs, and many are plasma, flat-screen TVs. You can enjoy Dish Network with several hundred channels.
